This facility is renowned for bringing the cheetah back from the brink of extinction through its captive breeding programmes and for its breeding success of rare and endangered species. The very rare King Cheetah was first bred here and similar success was achieved in breeding Wild Dog, Brown Hyena, Blue Duiker, Suni Antelope and some species of vultures and owls. Guided tours enable visitors to see animals up close and learn of their nature and habitat. Guided tours Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends 08h30 & 13h30.

The Elephant Sanctuary
In the early 1900's the Magaliesberg Mountains were rich in wildlife and home to abundant elephants. One hundred years later the elephants have returned to this area. A special place in the heart of beautiful African Bushveld, has been set aside, and within this sanctuary, you will meet our elephants: Mosadi, Maroela, Khumba, Thandi and Jabu. At the sanctuary, under professional supervision and control, guests can observe and interact with the elephants.

Set in 1500 ha providing a varied and diverse habitat to see White Rhino, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe and Hippo as well as many antelope species. In the centre there is an 100 ha. Lion enclosure. Day and night drives accompanied by experienced guides provide an exciting adventure. Restaurant, bar, braai area and swimming pool.

Lion Park

Among the more unusual game parks is a 200ha lion reserve. Visitors drive along a winding road through the game area, where they may see black wildebeest, gemsbok, impala, blesbok, zebra and ostrich. Then travel through the lion compounds.  Have your photo taken with a cub. Restaurant; curio shop; braai area; night drives and guided tours.

Lion and Rhino Park  Kromdraai

Lion and Rhino Park
The Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve is a privately owned, non-subsidized game reserve, covering approximately 1600ha situated in the "Cradle of Humankind", a declared World Heritage Site. There are more than 20 species andover 600 head of  game included whie rhino, lion and buffalo. Special compounds have been eredcted for wild dog and cheetah. Birds of Prey show; restaurant &  bar overlooking the crocodile pool; curio shop; braai area.

With over 100 bird species and a variety of reptiles and small animals, here you can spend a few hours walking through the aviaries and galleries in this sanctuary of enchanting wildlife. There is a"Flight of Fantasy" bird show where birds fly completely unrestrained during the course of an educational and entertaining presentation. Shows are at 11h00 and 15h00 daily. Open Tuesdays to Sundays 08h30 to 17h00. 
 
Pilansberg National Park (Next to Sun City)
Approx 160km    
2 and a half hours drive from Johannesburg, this 55000ha game park, nestles in an extinct volcano in North West Province. You will have the chance to see the "Big 5", Cheetah and Wild Dog among the 8000 animals and 300 bird species found here. A very early start is needed if you are to make the most of this day trip that can be combined with a stop at Sun City.
